Central Library, Central University of South Bihar

The University believes that library is the most important element in the facilities of an educational institution and hence the University has developed a well-equipped Central Library for both the Campuses (Patna and Gaya) to cater the information requirements of students and faculty members for their academic accomplishments. The library has built a balanced collection of more than 18,500 books to support academic curricula, teaching and research in various science and social science subjects. All the books are barcoded and organized using Dewey Decimal Classification (DDC) Scheme. An Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC) of Library books is made available to students, faculty and officials on every computer in the University premises. At present, the Central Library is having 11 staff working hard to fulfill the needs of Library Users of both the Campuses.
